An Ode to My Dad

Thanks Dad
For love, provisions and gifts
For being an encouragement
And a friend indeed

I will always want the best for you
And I pray and hope we'll be fine
To challenge every mountain
That life brings in time

May we be known as the dad and son
Who did life together
Who shared the love and sorrow
Who was a real team together

I thank God you married mum
If not I was not to be
I thank God you made the effort
She's a pretty woman, isn't she

As for the brothers around me
It's said, "brothers are born for adversity"
So when there are troubled times around
For my brothers I will fight indeed

Life's not very easy
As we can testify
But God's inside our heart
So we'll conquer the battle inside
